I have just built a ground floor atrium that leads into a toilet/shower room. We've already bought the flooring from you for the atrium and was going to lay ceramic tiles in the shower room. But now we are thinking this would look great if we just carried this flooring on into the shower room. Would this flooring be ok to use in a shower room if I sealed the boundary with Mapesil AC Brown?Our Advice

This flooring can be used in a bathroom but not in a wetroom. The flooring itself is water resistant - however, the installation is not.

Can this floor be laid on top of part MDF part floorboards if all appropriately flat? Our Advice

This would not be a suitable substrate, if used this would void the manufacturer's warranty.

There seem to be contradictory answers on here as to whether this can be used with wet UFH. Please advise thanksOur Advice

The flooring can be used with both electric and water-based underfloor heating. If you opt for the electric style the heating would need to be encased in a 17mm screed and both types could not exceed 27 degrees.

Can this floor be laid I. Top of existing tiled floor which has underfloor heating already installed? The tiles are 60cmx60vm eachOur Advice

We would not advise installing the tiles ontop of existing tiles.

You can seal these by using our Mapesil AC Brown (142) Silicone Sealant 310ml SKU: 4814291.
